What is Trapped Downtown?

TRAPPED DOWNTOWN opened in the spring of 2017 as the first escape room business in Central Nebraska. We pride ourselves in providing fun (and challenging) hands-on problem-solving experiences where groups of people have 60 minutes to find clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes to escape one of our uniquely themed rooms.

Our Story

Opening the first escape room in Nebraska (west of Lincoln) didn’t happen overnight. It did happen in about 4 weeks though! Sounds a little crazy doesn’t it?!? We think so too! As we were making the long drive back to Hastings from a birthday weekend in Omaha, the idea for “Trapped Downtown” was hatched in the cozy confines of our Hyundai Elantra. My wife successfully conquered an escape room in Omaha the day before so we began talking about the experience that she and her friends had. After discussing the room design and theme, how challenging some of the puzzles were, and (of course) how long it took, we knew we had to open up our own business in downtown Hastings, NE!

Six years later and we’re still going strong…

From our first room (The Storage Room) to our newest room (The Game Night), we couldn’t have made it this far without our awesome guests! Thank you to everyone who continues to support our locally-owned downtown business!
